Electronic Arts' new Sims Stories brand kicks off with The Sims 2 Castaway. In a nutshell, the game brings EA's unstoppably lovable franchise to a desert island. Think Lost without people wanting to kill you and smokey monsters. Think Survivor without annoying presenters. Think... well, think The Sims on a desert island. The game features a group of Sims who have found themselves in the unfortunate position of having been stranded on a tropical island while cruising off on their holiday. From there, they'll need to survive in the open sandbox that is the island. Your first problem will be, quite simply, one of survival. Players will need to guide their Sim through the basic tasks of eating and finding shelter, allowing them time to get used to the controls and find their way through the game mechanic.
