I've been playing games since my Commodore 64 in the 80s, from joysticks to dual shock 4s; I've played with a lot of peripherals and can say that this controller is the best I've used. Excellent mechanical clicky buttons, triggers are solid and the variable travel is a really nice option.
The analogue sticks are phenomenal, offering incredible precision and sensitivity. The build quality is top-notch, with a sturdy construction that will withstand years of intense gaming sessions. One of my favorite features is the customizable button layout, which allows me to tailor the controller's functionality to my specific needs.
I've been using this controller for several months now, and I can confidently say it's exceeded all my expectations. The one minor issue I have is that after a few months of intense Rocket League gaming, one of the symbols on the buttons has started to wear off. EDIT: ok, so after a good 2 months use playing Rocket League, and only Rocket League, from someone who doesn't get that much time to game.
I've had my fair share of problems with this controller, and it's not just me - I've noticed that holding the stick in a certain direction can cause an "anti-air" behavior. This is due to a faulty implementation of the game's physics engine. It seems like a minor issue compared to the overall quality of the controller.
Steam recognition has been a bit of a mystery for me, as it only works occasionally. I've tried switching the sticks multiple times, but it still doesn't register properly. This can happen in the middle of games, when the game is loading or during intense action sequences.
I've had my trusty wired Xbox controller for years and will be sticking to it - this controller just doesn't have the same level of quality and reliability. Feels expensive, but the build quality and performance make up for it. The clicky buttons are a major plus, but unfortunately, that's not enough to justify the price tag for me.
Will revert back to buying a new wired Xbox controller, which has been reliable all these years.
